🙋🏻‍♀️ I’m Michael: Host, curious mind, process freak, & experience design(er)

I’m a firm believer that business gets done when people have fun and that diversity is innovation. I am a multi-hyphenate professional (a.k.a. a Swiss Army Knife or ‘Jill’ of all trades) with the unusual ability to pull song lyrics and random movie quotes into everyday conversation. I have an addiction to learning that manifests itself through listening to podcasts, watching videos, buying online courses and…also buying basically every book that’s ever recommended to me (analogue 📚…and audio 🎧 - it’s a thing).

So…I decided to launch re_define work to share all of the insights and nuggets of knowledge I’ve been collecting throughout the years as a little content monster 👾, curious entrepreneur (whose made a lot of mistakes 🤦🏻‍♀️), and collector of information.

When we launched in 2015, we were one of the first Entrepreneur Network partner channels creating content and reporting live at events all over the country. Maura Gaughan and I curated episodes on our areas of expertise —video and events— and shared insights on the epic entrepreneurial journey. Maura has since gone on to take on the role of Creative Director at an agency (don’t worry, she’ll still be making some guest appearances), and re_define work has grown and expanded to cover all sorts of content and connect with/interview some incredible people.

A little about me; by profession, I’ve found the best way to describe what I do is an ‘Experience Design Expert’ (I love/hate the word expert but after 10+ years the imposter syndrome starts to crackle). My work focuses on marrying marketing, business development, operations, and ‘in real life’ and online experiences/events to create a positive impact for my client’s relationship with their audience and customers.

My work and projects are about building meaningful impact and finding, or creating, connection between my heart, my mind, and my bottom line.
